Recovery of huge pending amount: KP government articulating strategy against Wapda, Pesco

The KP government has started the consideration over a strategy for recovery of huge pending amount against the Wapda, Pesco in terms of revenue generated hydropower stations running by the provincial authority for power generation. In this context, KP chief minister will be briefed in order to discuss the matter in the high levelled forum to find out the solution.
This matter was decided during a meeting of Audit Finance Committee of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organisation (PEDO) held under the chairmanship of Ghulam Sarwar Mohmand. The meeting was also attended by the committee members including Additional Secretary Finance Razaullah Khan, Rohail Mohammad, CEO PEDO Akbar Ayub. During the meeting the administrative matters were discussed for the improvement of departmental machinery and the approval was granted for the TORs of finance and audit committee.
The committee also proposed various recommendations for the upcoming annual budget of PEDO. CEO PEDO Akbar ayub informed the committee that three hydropower projects having capacity of 56MW will be completed in current year which will boost the revenue of our province.
