General Sir Nicholas Carter, Chief of General Staff, United Kingdom called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including regional security situation and measures to further enhance defence co-operation between both the countries were discussed. He was also given a detailed briefing on operational and training aspects of Pakistan Army.
According to the ISPR, on arrival at General Headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented Guard of Honour to the dignitary. General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
Rangers and army personals escorted the UK defence delegation headed by Chief of General Staff from British High Commission to Army Headquarter. During his stay, rangers and army personals stayed outside the British High Commission.
