The second round of Annual Bilateral Consultations between Pakistan and Spain was held in Islamabad on Tuesday. Pakistan side was led by Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, while Spanish delegation was headed by Ignacio Ybanez Rubio, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
The Consultations reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral relations including political, economic and cultural cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing trade relations and promoting Spanish investments in Pakistan. Possibilities of educational cooperation, development of institutional linkages and enhancing people-to-people contacts also came under discussion. The two sides also reviewed the status of various MoUs and agreements between the two countries.
The two delegations exchanged views on regional and global issues of common interest.-PR
