Schneider Electric, the global specialists in energy management, on Thursday announced the successful installation of their best in class datacenter solutions with Rapidcompute, Cybernet's I.A.A.S cloud services division in the city.
Rapidcompute, Cybernet's I.A.A.S cloud services division has been in operation since 2012 offering a high performing, standards-based, flexible and robust IaaS cloud solution. The company has always been a front runner in keeping pace with the emerging technologies in the internet and data communications sector in Pakistan.
"Customers expect 100 percent uptime and reliability. Hence, we were looking for a worry-free solution which integrated cooling, standardised racks and power. We chose Schneider Electric as they offered a state of the art In Row Cooling architecture that included energy saving solutions to help cut energy costs by up to 30 percent by using the Hot Aisle Containment Systems that also supported Dynamic cooling for very high density (Blade technology) in virtualised environments (up to 30Kw/rack). In addition to this, their systems are easy to operate and allow planning for expansion in the future using Schneider Electric's data center infrastructure management system (DCIM) and asset tracking tools," Danish Lakhani - CEO Cybernet said.
He said that the datacenters were built with long-term vision and focuses on quality, reliability, efficiency and customer satisfaction. "Schneider Electric has the vision and the technology to help deliver these solutions and to provide strict ROI controls to our customers. We are proud to be associated with Schneider Electric in taking the next step in the evolution of datacenter technology & cloud computing in Pakistan," he said.
Munib Khawaja, Country Vice President, IT Business - Schneider Electric, Pakistan said: "as the global specialist in energy management, we are proud to help our strategic customers address their energy challenges. We, at Schneider Electric, make the energy not only safe, reliable, efficient and productive, but also we became pioneer in making it green by using end-to-end innovative and modular solutions. In this project, which is the first of its kind in Pakistan, Cyber net was able to optimise its investment in terms of infrastructure while ensuring maximum availability of its system and minimum operating cost. The success of this project is the result of a strong and early collaboration between Schneider Electric and Cybernet which enabled us to optimize the design of the whole Datacenter through integration of mechanical, electrical and IT systems. With more than 30 years of cumulated experience and strong presence in Pakistan, our customers can always rely on us to make the most of their energy."
