An upward trend persisted on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in the process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Urad Burma gained Rs 125 to Rs 12000, other commodities maintained overnight levels, they said.
On the grams side, grams Australia rose by Rs 50 to Rs 5300, grams Australia No 2 gained sharply by Rs 550 to Rs 5900, grams 50x50 picked up Rs 225 to Rs 5375, grams Dall 50x50 was higher by Rs 300 to Rs 6100, yellow peas Russia picked by Rs 75 to Rs 3925 and yellow peas Dall Russia gained the same amount to Rs 4375, they said. On the seeds side, castor seeds Lasbela was up by Rs 200 to Rs 2600, castor seed Sindh rose by Rs 150 to Rs 2500 and Castor seeds Lakhra at Rs 2650, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh was quoted at Rs 1650 and Rs 1800, they said.
Prices were inert on the rice sector, they said.
