The Lahore High Court on Tuesday issued a notice to the federal government for April 29 in response to a petition that has urged the court to restrain Judicial Commission from probing rigging claims in the 2013 general elections. A.K Dogar of the Lawyers Foundation for Justice in his main petition has also challenged the General Elections 2013 Inquiry Commission Ordinance 2015.
He claimed that the constitution of the commission was in violation of the Constitution and that the impugned ordinance was not only in violation of Article 225 of the Constitution but also the result of use of force.
