Vietnam, the world's top robusta coffee producer, will export an estimated 120,000 tonnes, or 2 million bags, of the commodity this month, down 40.4 percent from a year ago, the government said on Friday, in line with the latest market expectations. The April shipment would bring coffee exports so far under Vietnam's October 2014-September 2015 crop year to 769,600 tonnes (12.8 million 60-kg bags), down 28.3 percent from a year ago, the General Statistics Office said in its monthly report.
The office revised up the export volume in March to 130,500 tonnes, from 130,000 tonnes previously forecast. On Tuesday a trader estimated April's coffee exports at 120,000 tonnes, beyond market expectations of 60,000-110,000 tonnes.
