A senior police officer was killed along with his driver in what appears to be a sectarian attack in Karachi on Saturday, a private TV channel reported. Zulfiqar Zaidi, Deputy Superintendent of Police, was sitting at a hotel when he was attacked by unknown assailants in Shah Faisal Colony. SSP Junaid Sheikh confirmed the death of Zulfiqar Zaidi in the shooting. The victim was the security in-charge of Sindh High Court. Earlier this week, DSP Fateh Mohammed was gunned down in an ambush in Malir area of the city.
