Leader of JUI-F and Deputy Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Maulana Ghafoor Haideri has said that there is no chance of mid-term elections in the near future. He said this while speaking to media persons during his visit to Thatta on Monday after addressing a gathering of students in Madrassah.
"The National Assembly would complete its constitutional tenure," he said while rejecting the chance of mid-term election in the near future. Commenting on the restoration of Khawaja Saad Rafique by the Supreme Court, he said that the train had been brought back on the track. He said that the Election Tribunal gave the verdict after two years and now the matter was in the Supreme Court and it would decide it.
His party had some reservations over the results of Election 2013 but they neglected to prevent de-railing continuity of the system, Haideri said, adding the flaws would be removed from the system, when they let the system continue. He said that five million students were getting the education from Madrassahs where they were being provided stipend, clothes, books and others things free of cost. Such facilities are being provided to students in Madrassahs despite financial constraints, he said, adding about six million school-going children are out of schools. Rather criticising madrassahs, they should speak about the rising corruption in the province, he said. Moulana Taj Muhammad Nahyun and others were present on the occasion.
