"The District Board of Management can play vital role in promoting technical education and vocational training across the Punjab. The Technical and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) is successfully introducing new short courses with recommendations of relevant industry. In this way, Tevta is providing the TVET system to its youth as per requirements of the industry. Employment opportunities will easily be available to its pass-outs after completing the demand driven short courses."
Authority Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Shaikh told presidents and members of the District Board of Management of Multan, Khanewal and Vehari, Bahawalpur and Lodhran, DG Khan/Rajan Pur.
The chairperson also said his authority was making lots of efforts to provide valuable technical and vocational education to its students. "For this purpose, Tevta has signed memoranda of understanding with different departments and organisations. These MoUs aim at promotion of industrial-demand-driven courses which will help Tevta pass-outs to get the jobs immediately after completing their training period. The District Board of Management should make the role of Tevta more effective by inspecting the Institutes so that their recommendations may be incorporated to get better results of Tevta Institutes."
Presidents of the District Board of Management Multan, Bahawalpur, Lodhran, DG Khan, Rajanpur Khawaja Muhammad Usman, Malik Muhammad Saeed and Amir Yousaf Ali Khan in their speeches said the introduction of new short courses for the unemployed youth across the Punjab was appreciable. "The authority should maintain liaison with the local District Board of Management to get better results.
