Under the "Sehat Ka Ittehad" programme, an Anti-polio campaign kicked off in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from today (Monday). The drive will be carried out in eleven selected districts of the province including Bannu, Charsadda, D.I.Khan, Hangu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Tank and Torghar. Overall 448 union councils of these districts will be targeted during the campaign.
A total of 2,176,318 children under the age of five years will be administered anti-polio drops during the drive. In order to achieve the set targets of the drive 5858 mobile and 580 fixed teams have been deputed while 307 transit points have also been set up for the purpose.
