Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here on Saturday. Matters of mutual interest, political situation and other affairs were discussed during the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said the country is passing through a critical phase of the history and the need of unity in this situation has increased much before.
He said the government is taking along all political parties due to which matters of national importance are being resolved amicably. He said that sincere and serious steps are being taken towards right direction for coping with the challenges. The Chief Minister said that the terrorists have been hit hard by Pak army through operation Zarb-e-Azb and vigorous implementation on national action plan.
He said the terrorism and extremism will be eliminated through the power of unity of the nation and peaceful Pakistan will be given to the coming generations. Meanwhile, talking to elected representatives of various districts, Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is facing challenges like terrorism and energy crisis and the government is making round-the-clock efforts for resolving these problems. He said that the entire nation is determined to rid the country of menace of terrorism.
The chief minister said that the steps taken under national action plan are being implemented speedily which are yielding positive results. He said that Pak army has achieved glorious successes in operation Zarb-e-Azb. He said that the whole nation is united for eliminating the scourge of terrorism and extremism and under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the country will be steered out of problems and put on the road to progress and prosperity.
