PPP Senator Aijaz Dhamrah has urged Hesco authority to timely address consumers' complaints and make complaint centres fully functional at once. A delegation comprising of President Qasimabad Tajir Association, Haji Rasool Bux; President Divisional Youth Wing PPP Hyderabad, Ahsan Abro; Dr Tahseen Shaikh, Khaleel Khanzada and others led by the PPP senator called on Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hesco, Muhammad Saleem Jat at his office, here on Monday.
Dhamrah expressed his concern that a number of issues including over-billing, and wrong deductions especially of Qasimabad areas remained unattended, adding that there was no complaint centre there, resultantly the people of the areas were facing problems. He urged that a committee under chairmanship of Superintendent Engineer Operation Circle should be formed in this regard. The Hesco should ensure the supply of electricity during Ramadan especially at time of Sahar and Iftar, he demanded. The CEO Hesco informed the delegation that a committee comprising of business community and Hesco officials had already been formed to address the issues of consumers, adding that there were two monitoring directors who would monitor it. "We are trying to ensure better supply of electricity during Ramadan timings," Jat said. Meter readers, meter supervisors and DCM are being directed to note down correct reading of consumers' meters, he said.
