A PIA A-320 carrying over 100 passengers landed at Skardu Airport. Previously smaller aircraft such as Fokker, ATR and B-737 linked Islamabad with Skardu. The A-320 has a much larger seating capacity.
The scenic natural beauty and views of some of the world's highest peaks attract many tourists to Skardu. Seen in the picture, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Aviation, Shujaat Azeem was giving details to local media about the induction of larger capacity aircraft on the ISB-Skardu route. This will further facilitate tourism and economic improvement of the region towards realising the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.-PR
