The Food Authority continued its campaign against hotels / eateries of poor cleanliness arrangements and adulteration mafia; its teams sealed six more food units and arrested 21 persons here on Tuesday. Field team of Shalimar Town headed by Director Operations Punjab Food Authority Ayesha Mumtaz sealed Hafiz Nimko Foods, Snacks Manufacturing Unit due to poor cleanliness, using loose oil and selling outdated eatable items.
Three hundred liter loose oil and one hundred thousand kg perish items were taken into custody from the unit. An FIR was registered against the owner in the concerned police station and nine persons including the owner were arrested. Similarly, field team of Ravi Town sealed Majid Mirch Chaki, Bismillah Mirch Chaki and Tawakal Mirch Chaki due to poor cleanliness arrangements and dirty floors. An FIR was registered in the concerned police station and seven persons including owners were arrested.
Moreover, a team of Data Gunj Bakhsh Town sealed Al-Fazal Milk Shop & Food Production on Temple Road due to poor cleanliness arrangements. An FIR was registered in concerned police station and five persons were arrested. Similarly, Gulberg Town team sealed Yousaf Falooda Unit Gaddafi Stadium due to poor cleanliness and dirty freezers.
