District administration Peshawar arrested 37 bakers (nanbais) for selling under-weight roti during Sehri and Iftar times crackdown against profiteers. According to details, Deputy Commissioner (D.C) Peshawar, Riaz Khan Mehsud along with ADC, Osama Ahmad Warriach, A.C Mumtaz Ahmad conducted crackdown against bakers in Saddar, University Road, Tambano Mor, Tehkal Bala, University Town, Board Bazaar, Phase 3 Chowk, Basharat Market and Yousafzai Market, Hayatabad and arrested 37 bakers for selling under-weight roti.
Meanwhile, after negotiations with district administration famous confectionery shops had agreed to decrease the price of sweets.
