I avail this opportunity to felicitate "The Government of France and its people" on the occasion of the "Bastille Day". This day reflects the courage and determination of the people of France who stormed the Bastille Fort in Paris on July 14, 1789 in an effort to get rid of the tyranny of the government. This in fact was a prologue to triggering the French Revolution which changed the course of history of the world in general and France in particular.
France is a cradle of democracy and human rights in the world and the fall of Bastille marked the commencement of a new era in France. This day in fact is a symbol of the end of a monarchy and the beginning of a new era in France.
