Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has welcomed nuclear deal between world powers and Iran and said the deal would bring positive effects not only to Iran but also to the entire region. The deal would ease out the persistent tension and it would help create conducive environment for establishing lasting peace in the region, he added.
In a statement issued from Watan Kor on Wednesday, Aftab Sherpao said the deal struck in Vienna was significant because it would pave way for both Pakistan and Iran to regenerate bilateral trade relations between the two neighbouring countries. He said Pakistan was facing massive energy problems, adding the Vienna deal would be helpful to minimise obstacles in restarting work on Pak-Iran gas pipeline project which would bring positive impacts on the economy of both the countries. He said QWP was looking forward to the expeditious implementation of the provisions of this landmark nuclear deal by all its signatories.
