Central PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz MNA has said that party tickets for local bodies elections in Punjab will be given to those workers who did not leave the party during worst period of dictatorship.He said the PML-N is ready to support its committed workers and will act upon their proposals. He announced that meeting of district office-bearers will be held after every two months and he will also hold meetings with party workers in different districts.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of district office-bearers regarding local bodies elections at Model Town. Hamza said that PML-N has always given respect to party workers. He made it clear that those party workers who will not get tickets in LB elections will be nominated on five specified posts in every ward and others will be adjusted in peace and reconciliation committees and other places.
Hamza said that participation of party presidents and general secretaries in the meeting of district development has been made compulsory. Similarly, he said that besides Assembly members, party office-bearers will also be given due consideration in the provision of jobs. He said that there are reservations regarding behaviour of officers in some districts which will be removed and administration will give due importance to party workers. Hamza said that government is implementing the agenda of development and progress and besides controlling terrorism, elimination of energy crisis is also priority of the Punjab government. He said that Punjab government will produce 5000 megawatt electricity. Senator Masood Majeed, Minister of State Baleegh-ur-Rehman, Provincial Ministers Raja Ashfaq Sarwar and Nadeem Kamran while briefing the meeting regarding the procedure of LB elections in Punjab said that 1000 forms are being given in every constituency of National Assembly. He said that chairmen will deposit 10,000 rupees and vice chairmen and councillors will deposit 5000 rupees as party fee. President PML-N Lahore and MNA Pervaiz Malik, MNA Ishtiaq Mehr, President Muslim League-N Gujrat Malik Hanif Awan, President Vehari Mian Imran Daultana and others while speaking on the occasion, said that party organizations are working actively at district level.
