A total of 903 individuals have been rescued through helicopters and 59 tons of ration has been distributed among the people isolated due to floods in Chitral. Army medical camp and Scout hospital were established at Chitral where over 1,178 patients have been provided medical treatment. According to ISPR on Wednesday, 5.4 water bowzers of Chitral Scout are distributing 12,000 liters of drinking water in Chitral and surrounding areas on daily basis.
Roads from Chitral to Reshun and Bon-Gilgit Baltistan have been restored. The Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) has employed 11 plant pieces for restoration of roads in Tehsil Bomburet, Garam Chashma and Reshun while road from Chairat-Birir has been opened for traffic. In its rescue and relief efforts in Layyah, DG Khan and Rajanpur districts, Pakistan Army evacuated 1000 people in Layyah and surrounding areas. Upto 290 food packets have been distributed among flood-stricken people and 2173 patients treated in Army free medical camp at Layyah.
