Minister for Climate Change Mushahid Ullah Khan has said having a cricketer like Shoaib Akthar from Rawalpindi is an honour for us. While speaking at a reception organised by Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) in honor of Pakistani Twenty20 cricketer Imad Wasim here at the Diamond Ground, the Minister said we are also proud to have a player like Imad among us. The ICA organised a reception for Imad to honour a talent like him so that the other players could also be encouraged and perform well.
Islamabad region member Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) governing board Shakil Sheikh, ICA President Nasir Iqbal, cricketer Sohail Tavir, Imad Wasim were present while Minister for Climate Change Mushahid Ullah Khan was the chief guest at the occasion. Speaking at the occasion, Imad Wasim said he will perform to the expectations of the PCB and will try his level best to make his place in the Test and ODI teams. Imad Wasim who hit the historic six against Sri Lanka and snatched the win for Pakistan in the Twenty20 said that he will give his 100 per cent in every match. "I have performed in every format of game in domestic cricket and it is up-to selectors to acknowledge my work," he said.
