The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Punjab wing on Sunday arrested Shaukat ullah Bhangash, the son of PPP Senator Saif ullah Bhangash, over fraud and corruption charges. Shaukat Ullah Bhangash was wanted by NAB for illegal sale of Qasr-e-Zauk. Qasr-e-Zauk Marriage Hall is a case property cautioned by NAB in another case.
The accused person, in connivance with and active abatement and assistance of other accused persons, violated NAB's caution and illegally sold out the property for Rs 52.5 million for his personal gains.
The crime proceeds had been distributed among all the accused persons. NAB has already recovered the ill-gotten money from other accused persons. Accused Shaukat Ullah Bhangash will be produced before Accountability Court Lahore for obtaining his physical remand.
