-All is set to celebrate Independence Day with usual zeal and enthusiasm on Friday in Sialkot district. On this occasion various social and cultural organisations and educational institutions have finalised colourful programme for celebrating Independence Day with national spirit in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of Sialkot district on August 14th.
The sale of national flags, colourful buntings and garlands, big portraits of Quaid-i-Azam, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and other national heroes were in full swing in and around the city. People belonging to various walks of life are busy in decorating their houses, shops, motorcycles and vehicles with national flags. Besides, government, semi government and private buildings are decorated with fancy lights in the city.
The daylong programmes would be started with special prayers for the solidarity, unity and prosperity of the country and for the early liberation of Indian held Kashmir in all mosques of the city. A special flag hoisting ceremony would be under auspices of Sialkot Tehsil Municipal Administration (STMA) at Jinnah hall.
