A three-member bench led by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja resumed the hearing of a matter relating to fresh instructions to the ECP to hold LB polls in Sindh and Punjab.
The ECP's counsel, Munir Piracha, submitted a proposed schedule of elections in Punjab and Sindh in pursuance to the court' earlier directives saying that the LB polls could be held in three different phases on November 14, November 29 and December 19 this year. The bench decided to take up the matter on August 13 after examining the proposed local government election schedule in both the provinces.
