The Foundry Service Centre, a project developed by Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) on Monday organised a training programme on "importance of simulation in metal casting." The programme was held at the Punjab University's Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering in co-ordination with Doctor Muhammad Kamran, Assistant Professor in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and Dr Aqeel Inam, Asst Professor in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering.
Saqib Qayyum, Simulation Engineer, Foundry Service Centre was the key resource person, who delivered a lecture on the topic and shared the information on how the Foundry Service Centre Lahore was extending support to the foundry industry in the country. This will result in bringing economic and social changes and improvement in the living standards by stimulating the economy to grow rapidly.
