Salman Khan says it’s okay if Priyanka doesn't want to work with him
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan does not hold any grudges against his co-star Priyanka Chopra for her abrupt exit from the much anticipated movie ‘Bharat,’ but he has raised some questions on his own regarding the matter.
PeeCee shocked everyone when she backed out from Ali Abbas Zafar’s directed ‘Bharat,’ and Khan has finally broke silence on this matter. Speaking at the trailer launch of his new production ‘Loveratri’, Salman sounded inquisitive about Priyanka not working with him.
Salman said that he is not sure why Priyanka quit from the film on such a short notice but he still supports her decision. “Priyanka had come home and I told her 'It’s okay if you don’t want to do it’. At that time, we were given some other reason. Whatever may be the reason, be it marriage or picture or her not willing to work in India or with me, it’s her reason, and we are really supportive about her doing good work,” he said.
Speaking about Priyanka working in Hollywood, the 52-year-old actor said in a separate interview that the movie’s cast and crew was unaware about her Hollywood project till the end. “If we had known about her big Hollywood project at that time, we wouldn’t have stopped her anyway. But we needed to know well in advance,” he said.
“She informed about her exit at the last moment, 10 days before her shooting schedule while I had already begun shooting for the film. If she does not want to work with Salman Khan, it’s okay. She’s working with a big hero in Hollywood,” he added.
The ‘Sultan’ star also thanked Katrina Kaif for coming on board at the end moment despite having a tight schedule. “She is already doing ‘Zero’ with Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ with Aamir Khan and another film with Yash Raj Films. With all these films, she said yes to ‘Bharat’, because of which we are very grateful to her. She is extremely hard working,” he concluded.
‘Bharat’, which is all set to hit the screens on Eid 2019, also features Disha Patani in a pivotal role.
