Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) has launched a number of uplift projects including reconstruction of tracks, renovation of parks and general cleanliness to attract more tourists to the scenic Galiyat region. Speaking at the concluding ceremony held in connection with the week-long cleanliness drive here at Nathiagali, Director GDA Raza Ali Habib said that besides dustbins and drums waste treatment plant would be installed to ensure proper cleanliness in the serene spots.
General Manager (Administration) Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) Sajjad Hameed was the chief guest while a large number of officials from different departments, civil society members, journalists, local residents and students attended the ceremony.
Raza Ali said that most of the development projects would be completed at the end of September and the area would then definitely wear a clean and beautiful look. "We are establishing five big parks in Nathiagali, Ayubia, Mushakpuri, Khanispur and other areas while three tracks and five rest places would be reconstructed to facilitate the tourists," the director told the audience.
