Rolly, the newest external keyboard for smartphones and tablets from LG lives up to its name. When you're done with it, all you have to do is roll it right up for easy stowing. Both its small size and the ability to stow it easily are key selling points of the Rolly, which consists of five hardened plastic segments along a long body containing its electronics and the battery. That design is what allows it to be rolled up so tightly, to the size of a small handbag.
LG says the design gives the Rolly more of the sensation of using a normal keyboard than other portable keyboards made of silicon.
The keyboard attaches to a tablet or smartphone via Bluetooth 3.0. All it takes is the push of a button to switch the connection between two different registered devices. It also comes with plastic holders for tablets or smartphones.
The LG Rolly hits US stores in September, with plans for a later release in Europe. No price has been announced yet.
