Sindh Senior Minister for Information Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Monday visited Central Jail, Karachi and met incarcerated former minister and PPP leader Syed Ali Nawaz Shah. He discussed with him the recent verdict of an Accountability Court, which convicted Nawaz Shah on corruption charges, as well as current political situation of the country and province.
Talking to media outside the Karachi Central Jail, Khuhro said that the conviction of former minister was a move to exact political revenge. He said such actions by the NAB put a question mark on the performance of the bureau. He claimed that Shah was convicted because of his honesty. He said they have filed a petition in Sindh High Court (SHC) against NAB Court's verdict. He said his party reserved the right to knock the door of courts.
