Atif Aslam responds to those hating him after song controversy

Pakistan’s pop singer Atif Aslam came under fire for singing his song ‘Tera Honay Laga Hoon’ from a Bollywood film at Pakistan’s Independence Day parade in New York on Sunday. The singer, however, has not let made it clear that he ‘loves his haters’ despite everything.

Atif sang his popular song ‘Tera Honay Laga Hoon’ from a Bollywood, which did not sit well with his fans. This started a long debate on social media, where Atif was slammed for opting to sing a Bollywood song at Pakistan’s Independence Day parade.

The star has now hit back at his haters in a rather different way, as he showed love to them instead of hating. Atif shared a picture of a T-shirt on Instagram that says ‘no chance to give up’. As a reply to his all those who had been trolling him, he wrote, “Simply love my haters”.

Atif further wrote that he is the representative of the green flag and his fans know he respects it. He added that he is happy that his fans know how to deal with fake propaganda. “I hope people in ‘Naya Pakistan’ will give respect to others and all those who have made Pakistan proud around the world,” the singer added.

He also showed his gratitude to Shafqat Amanat Ali for coming to his rescue in this controversy. Shafqat had showed his support for Atif and said, “Music is not Indian or Pakistani. It is just music”.
