KP Governor slams attack

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan who is in Makkah in connection with the performance of Haj has condemned the attack on the Pakistan Air Force base in Badhaber area and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls of Captain Asfandyar and other martyrs of the incident. In a condolence message from Saudi Arabia the governor said that whole nation was proud of the sacrifices Pak Army and other security forces as well as civilians were offering for the noble cause of the country's defence.
He said due to those sacrifices the evil designs of the terrorist and their supporters had been mixed into mud. He said the coward actions of the terrorists had made determination of the security forces more strong and expressed the hope that they would be defeated at all costs. He said a nation having Captain Asfandyar Shaheed like brave and gallant sons could not be defeated by any global force. The governor affirmed his commitment that the security forces would fight till the last terrorist. He also prayed for the early recovery of the wounded.
Meanwhile, Acting Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Asad Qaisar visited the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar and inquired about the health of the wounded civilians of the militants attack on the Pakistan Air Force base in Badhaber area on the outskirts of Peshawar early on Friday morning.
The acting governor along with senior health officers and hospital's administration met the injured one by one and inquired about their health. He directed the hospital administration to use all the available resources to save the lives of the injured. He also expressed sympathies with the bereaved families of those killed in the attack. The governor prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and early recovery of the wounded.
Later, taking to media the acting governor severely condemned the attack and stated that the country in general and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular was facing very critical situation due to the negative practices of the anti-state elements. He appreciated the timely action of the security forces and expressed the hope that soon peace would come and the anti-state and anti-people elements would be defeated.
