First Information Report (FIR) of the terrorist attack on Pakistan Air Force (PAF) base camp in Badaber has been lodged at Peshawar's Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Police Station on behalf of the PAF. According to Anti Terrorism Department (ATD), the PAF had asked for registration of the case against unknown persons through a correspondence.
The case includes sections of Anti Terrorism Act (ATA), murder and attempted murder. According to the FIR, 29 people were martyred in the militant attack while all the 13 terrorists were killed in retaliation. The investigators from the CTD have recorded statements of residents of the area where the attack took place. Meanwhile, law-enforcement agencies arrested 63 suspects during a search operation in Kohat and recovered arms and ammunition from them. The joint operation of police and other law-enforcement agencies was carried out in Jangle Khel and Ghumgol areas of the district. For investigation, the arrested persons have been shifted to unknown place. Operation against criminals is continued in the area.
