News regarding a raid on FCCI office and taking into possession the computers and record by a sensitive agency is totally baseless. A spokesman of the FCCI said that practically no such incident took place whereas a private TV channel (Not Aaj TV) aired it as "Breaking News" on the night falling between September 17 and 18, 2015. The reporter of this TV channel and other newspapers failed to confirm the authenticity of this news and above all a sensitive agency was unnecessarily maligned in this false and concocted story.
The spokesman further said that FCCI is a recognized and prestigious trade body duly licensed by Ministry of Commerce. Its accounts are audited every year by internal as well as external auditors. The purpose of this fake story is apparently to damage its repute.
FCCI has referred this case to lawyers for legal advice as it has right to file a suit against the publisher as well as the perpetrators behind this fake news story. Hence in order to clarify the factual position, this fake news is strongly contradicted and refuted.
