We are pleased to announce that I Change Her Life (ICHL) is taking a giant leap forward to provide an opportunity for the underprivileged women with the help of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Moscow 2015.
After six years of serving disadvantaged, yet highly skilled women, we have decided to present their exceptional craftsmanship to the global audience. This year, you will see handcrafted and handmade couture exhibit for Spring/Summer 2016 by ICHL on Mercedes-Benz Russia Fashion Week Moscow. Brace yourself for a world-class production, a panoply of colours played out by chaude et talentueux designer and an exclusive slice of the fashionable elite. Our mission of multicultural arts promotion, ethnic diversity, and the positive image remains a priority, and we are proud to continue our program of providing financial support and platform for the underprivileged women.
"We help craftswomen transmute pain and suffering into beauty and joy. Each garment has a story of a woman attached to it- a woman who has faced many challenges during her perilous journey through life but is now contributing to positive social impact. Our message is one of hope; of healing through the artistic expression of beauty." said Dr Ambreen Zaman, Founder & CEO of ICHL.
Our collection will highlight the silhouettes extracted from the Royal era of Mughals. The avant-garde pieces combine ethnic aesthetics with western modalities peppered with baroque accents to accentuate modernism and subtle sensual undertones. Most of our inspirations consist of Orientalism, a multitude of essential contemporary artworks, pieces, and heritage. Ornamentation scope consists of embroideries, different textile techniques unique to the cultural heritage of South Asian region and non-conventional development.
Head of Creative team and lead Designer Mr Shahroz Tariq has also shared his sentiments regarding the work ICHL is planning to put forward, "I have always believed in high purpose. Our ability to use our talents and abilities to serve underprivileged communities! This project holds personal significance for me because I am part of empowering women by transferring specialised knowledge regarding fashion and designing to women in rural communities. Indeed, it's an honour for me."
