No stone to be left unturned for making Karachi peaceful: DG Rangers meets Governor
Director General of Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Major General Bilal Akbar called on Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan. In the meeting held at the Governor House here on Wednesday, the law and order situation in Sindh especially in Karachi was discussed in detail. It was reiterated that the province of Sindh and the city of Karachi would be cleansed of terrorism.
The Governor said in the past some months, there had been improvement in the law and order situation, adding it was being acknowledged by people from all segment of life. He said traders and businessmen had taken advantage of the improved law and order from Ramazan up to the eve of Eid-ul-Azha. There was brisk business activity as compared to the previous years. Dr Ishrat said everyone acknowledged the role of the Rangers for successfully tackling the menace of terrorism.
The DG Rangers said people had expressed their confidence in the Rangers and that his organisation would come up to their expectations, adding the recent success was due to the confidence reposed by the people. He pointed out that many personnel of Rangers had sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism. It was resolved that no stone would be left unturned for making Karachi peaceful. Fight against terrorism would continue till cleansing Sindh and Karachi of the menace of terrorism.
