Ensuring speedy justice: CJP stresses bench-bar cooperation

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali Wednesday stressed joint efforts of bench and bars for ensuring speedy justice to litigants. Talking to a 12-member delegation of Karachi Bar Association comprising President Naeem Qureshi and executive members, Justice Jamali said Bench and Bar are integral part of same system and they should work hard for the betterment of the administration of justice, said a press release.
He underlined the need to bring improvements in the system of justice so the speedy justice can be provided to litigants which can only be possible with the co-operation of bars. He urged bars to play their role in discouraging undue adjournments of cases. The members of the Bar thanked the Chief Justice for sparing time for them and congratulated his elevation as Chief Justice of Pakistan. They assured the Chief Justice full support and co-operation for administration of justice. They also informed the Chief Justice about problems and were assured steps to resolve the same at the earliest.
