Leading apparel-manufacturing enterprises from different countries like Pakistan, China, Turkey, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Korea and Thailand, actively participated and displayed their products in 'Texworld' and 'Premiere Vision' - the world's largest cotton and apparel trade shows, held in Paris recently.
The Ambassador of Pakistan in France Ghalib Iqbal, the Counselor of USDA FAS David Salmon, Agricultural Marketing Assistant of FAS Laurent Journo and the Ambassador of Bangladesh in France Shahidul Islam personally visited the events and appreciated the efforts. These honourable guests were warmly welcomed by the key organisers of the event - 'Cotton USA' and Supima.
Approximately 75,950 visitors from 120 countries attended both fairs, with a total of 2,869 exhibitors from more than 60 countries. This series of mega-events promote the global advertising campaign - "Love My Cotton", launched by 'Cotton USA', with the aim to assist major players of the global apparel industry in sourcing cotton from the United States of America.
The events facilitated the participants in creating and strengthening long-term business contacts, as a large number of international brands and retailers, including Marks and Spencer, Gerry Weber and Original Marines, visited the shows. At the Texworld mega event, 'Cotton USA' exhibited with Supima, while it collaborated with Cotton Incorporated to exhibit at the 'Première Vision' event. Both these trade-shows provided a resourceful platform for COTTON USA to promote US cotton and its global marketing and licensing program.-PR
