On Monday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 6,937 million as compared to PKR 4,096 million reported on Friday, an increase of 69 percent. The number of lots traded also increased by 54 percent to 46.47 million from 30.10 million. PMEX Commodity Index was closed at 2,522. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 6,367 million, a 79 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by crude oil (PKR 443.13 million) and silver (PKR 126.56 million).
