Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Wednesday said that development and progress of Gilgit Baltistan was top priority of government. He reaffirmed that the Federal Government would continue to extend its support for the uplift and progress of the social sector of GB during the next five years. The Prime Minister was talking to Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur-Rehman, who called on him here at the Prime Minister House, said a press release.
The Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister about the pace of ongoing development projects in different parts of Gilgit Baltistan. The Prime Minister said that the people of Gilgit Baltistan voted for the PML-N candidates during the recent elections which were a manifestation of their confidence in the policies of the current democratically elected government at the center. He expressed the hope that the Chief Minister would fulfil his expectations and the people of GB in a visible manner.
