City District Government is spending an amount of Rs 50 million on the modernization of City Transport Terminal for providing comfortable and advanced transport facilities to the passengers on Inter City routs. This was informed by DCO Noorul Amin Mengal while reviewing the implementation of the project of modernisation of City Transport Terminal at Railway road. EDO Finance Ch. Abdul Ghafoor, DO Building Muhammad Tahir and other officers were also present on the occasion.
The DCO said that the City Transport Terminal was being rebuilt in lines with the modern facilities which would be excellent project of art of construction. He said that 14 bus bays with the offices of staff would be constructed and the all management affairs and ticketing system would be computerised including provision of most modern security system.
The DCO said that the air-conditioned waiting area was also part of this project with the establishment of tuck shops. The DCO said that under the directions of CM Punjab most modern and advanced basic facilities were being provided to the people of Faisalabad in the present era of development, competitions and economic constraints. He directed the concerned officers to accelerate the pace of construction work and to ensure beautiful and durable design of construction.
