According to jail authorities, two death row prisoners were executed in different jails, here on Tuesday. As per details, a death row prisoner Abdul Majeed was hanged at Dera Ghazi Khan District Jail. He was convicted of murdering his brother and nephew over minor dispute.
Second death row prisoner Muhammad Azam was executed at New Central Jail Bahawalpur. He was convicted of murdering his rival in 1997 over old enmity. Meanwhile, a death row prisoner Khadim Hussain escaped the noose at Bahawalpur Central Jail because of reconciliation with aggrieved family. The bodies were handed over to the heirs.
