The opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah Wednesday said that a politician is a 'public property' and none of his/her actions are personal. In an obvious reference to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan's bashing to a journalist for asking question about his recent divorce, Shah said that instead of indulging in media wrangling, he should go on a trip abroad.
He claimed that the popularity graph of PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-N has remarkably gone down. To a question about minus-one formula in PPP, he said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be part of new parliament. "Asif Zardari is in contact with Bilawal Bhutto and other party leadership and the affairs of the party are running so smoothly," he said, adding that "From now onwards we, the elders will guide our youngsters and they would work." About the recently held local government elections, he said the independent candidates performed well compared to those fielded by popular political parties. He predicted that the results of the first phase of local government polls will impact the second phase.
