On Wednesday, BRIndex30 remained negative throughout the market time. It remained close to the borderline except during first hour when it displayed a deep plunge. It closed at 20,248.89 points with net change of -37.96 points. Total turnover was 72,861,500 shares, which was lower than Tuesday's turnover by around 30 million. Among BRIndex30 companies, Sui Southern Gas was again the most traded company with turnover of 11,244,000 shares. It was also the second most traded company in stocks exchange. Among BRIndex30 companies, 14 companies were up and 16 were down.
Among BR Sector Indices, BR Oil and Gas Index was the again leading index by volume with total turnover of 21,966,250. Sui Southern Gas was of course the most traded company in this index with turnover of 11,244,000 shares. Index displayed a trend similar to that of BRIndex30 except that it also became positive now and then. It closed at 3,023.47 points with net change of 2.85 points.
Second highest BR Sector Index by volume was BR Power Generation and Distribution Index with total turnover of 14,709,500 shares. K-Electric was again the most traded company in this index with a volume of 9,976,500 shares. This index also displayed a deep plunge during first hour but came close to the border soon after just like BRIndex30. After around midday, it became positive and remained positive until market closing. It closed at 6,939.60 points with net change of 4.75 points.
Third highest BR Sector by volume was BR Technology and Communication Index with turnover of 14,511,000 shares. TRG Pakistan was again the most traded company in this index with a volume of 10,308,500 shares. Index remained negative throughout the trading time. It closed at 1,268.19 points with net change of -11.10 points.
