Spot cash basis bids for corn and soyabeans were largely unchanged around the US Midwest on Friday, as basis firmed a few cents at river terminals and processors. The corn basis at processor in Blair, Nebraska firmed by 2 cents. Soyabean basis bids at a grain terminal in Toledo, Ohio, rose by 5 cents, while soya basis bids across the US Midwest were largely unchanged. Dealers at that same location said farmers were keeping a tight grip on their crop in hopes of corn prices reaching $4 a bushel and about $11 a bushel for soyabeans.
