On Thursday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 6,517 million as compared to PKR 5,796 million reported on Wednesday, a 12 percent increase. The number of lots traded also increased by 6 percent to 36.40 million from 34.30 million. PMEX Commodity Index increased by 0.30 percent and closed at 2,580. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 6,354 million, a 13 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by silver (PKR 154.30 million) and crude oil (PKR 7.35 million).
