The Federal Board of Revenue since long convincing the traders and businessmen to come into tax net by spending million of rupees in advertisement in press but the ground realities are quite indifferent specially in filing of sales tax return by genuine tax payers.
Tax payers are trying their best to increase revenue of the government by paying sales tax in time but on the other hand FBR has made filing of sales tax return so complicated that a trader/ businessman is unable to file the ST return timely within the deadline. Several ST payers are facing problem as their data has been lost from the FBR portal.
On November 18, a trader representative visited the FBR and meet Raana Ahmed, Member IT (Information Technology) and highlighted the issue to her and returned to Karachi on assurance that the matter will be resolved immediately but unfortunately the matter still remains the same as well as no one is attending telephone calls at the FBR. Traders requested newly appointed FBR Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan who is very co-operative and helpful in resolving the issue of business community to resolve this immediately.-PR
