The visiting British delegation headed by Lord Nazir Ahmed met DG NAB Colonel Siraj ul Naeem (Retd). He was accompanied by his team members, Martin Hyde, Researcher in the Cybercrime and Digital Forensic Consultancy Firm Stuart Hyde Associates Ltd UK. His partner Stuart Hyde was also a part of the delegation. David Holdworth, the CEO of the Charity Commission, and Laura Mc Alipne also attended the meeting.
The DG gave a comprehensive briefing about NAB's achievements since its inception. He praised the commitment and vision of Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, who has revitalised the stature of NAB. The relentless endeavours of the Chairman has rejuvenated the true spirit of NAB which resulted in regaining its lost credibly. In pursuance of the vision expressed by the Chairman, NAB Karachi is taking forward the awareness, prevention and enforcement methodology.
A detailed report of 2015 was presented which included figures of Voluntary Return, Plea Bargain, References filed, Conviction and Arrests made during the current year. The delegation was informed that 22,000 acres of illegally allotted land have been cancelled by the government of Sindh, after intervention of NAB Karachi amounting to Rs 1.3 trillion. Lord Nazir Ahmed greatly appreciated the work being done by the NAB Karachi and praised Siraj-ul-Naeem for his dedicated work.-PR
