A new internet browser named Vivaldi wants to shake up the internet surfing experience by offering new and easier ways to organise research, take notes and grab screenshots while wandering around online. So far, Vivaldi remains in its beta phase. However, it is possible to give it a trial.
One difference from other browsers is the way tabs are organised. Vivaldi lets users drag and drop them into groups, so similar topics can be put together.
It also makes it much easier to create notes, make screenshots and save attachments and internet addresses while surfing, storing them away for later so they can be processed and searched through when it's convenient.
All the boxes in Vivaldi can be reformatted and moved around. It accepts both key commands and instructions entered with a mouse or the arrow keys. There's also a separate side window where people can set up news sites or chats, for example.
Vivaldi also comes with an integrated email service.
Finally, there's a focus on aesthetics.
The browser's colour design changes depending on the website visited, for the best optical appearance. The function can be deactivated if it isn't appreciated. Vivaldi is based on the Chromium engine and supports the installation of Chrome expansions.
