Wattoo demands Rs 1500 per 40 kg wheat support price

President PPP Punjab Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has demanded of fixing the support price of wheat at Rs 1500 per 40 kilogram this year. "Import of maze should be banned as this commodity is already surplus in the country," he added. He said that the support price issue of agro products should be addressed to the satisfactory reward of farmers' community.
"The country will be prosperous if the farmer is prosperous and its accumulating effect would run the wheel of the economy fast," he observed. He further said the Kissan Package of federal government was an effort to play to the gallery through aggressive media campaign. He has demanded of limiting the land holding. "The government was following the anti-agriculture policies resulting into decline in our exports," he added.
