Namaz-i-Janaza of veteran journalist and diplomat Qutubuddin Aziz, who passed away in Karachi on Saturday evening, would be offered on Monday. This was stated by his son-in-law and a former Test cricketer, Iqbal Qasim. He said that the deceased aged over 87 years was suffering from respiratory complications and passed away at a local hospital on Saturday evening.Iqbal Qasim said the Namaz-i-Janaza would be offered on Monday after Zuhr at Masjid Usman in Defence Phase V after arrival of his daughter from the United States.
He said the deceased was also a director of the UPP news agency and elder brother of Mahmood-ul-Aziz, a prominent journalist. Late Qutubuddin Aziz had served as Press Minister in Pakistan High Commission in London in the 1980s.
